The meaning behind the name

Tzuriel- pronounced "zoo-ree-el"

So for those of you that are left wondering as to our choice and the meaning of our second son's name, here is the explanation. Tzuriel or "Zuriel" is a biblical name found in Num 3:35. He was a prince of the tribe of Levites (the priestly tribe of Israel) during the time of Moses. It means "The Lord is my Rock". We thought it would be appropriate to name our newest son after an Old Testament High priest since Geovanee is named after Pope John Paul II (Giovanni Paolo in Italian). When we were looking for names we really fell in love with the meaning and the uniqueness of the Zuriel. The "T" at the beginning of the name was Ben's idea. He found that variation of the spelling in other lists of biblical names.

As for the middle name- Patrizio- we picked that name for two reasons, one becuase he was born on St. Patrick's name and also because Ben's grandfather on his mother's side was also named Patricio and born on St. Patrick's. His middle name is reflective of both the saint and Ben's grandfather.

We hope this gives more clarity and meaning to the name!
