Don't drop the hammer

Meet Geo's new favorite toy- a little tikes toy hammer. He recently re-discovered in his box of toys and hasn't parted from it. For the whole weekend he carried the hammer around the house and only would drop it for his bottle. On Saturday night as Ben was preparing Geo's bath, Geo wanted to take his hammer into the tub. Ben took it away from him and it proved to be a terrible mistake. Geo didn't enjoy his bath and kept crying/longing for his hammer. After Saturday's less than happy bath experience, Ben and Vanessa knew that Sunday's bath could be an issue. As the tub was filling up Geo approached still with his hammer in hand. As soon as he realized that Mom and Dad wanted to take the hammer from him, he ran away. Later he came back. In order to get him to drop his hammer, Ben and Vanessa tricked Geo into clapping (one of his favorite things to do lately). When he let go of the hammer and started clapping, Vanessa quickly took Geo's diaper off and put him in the bath while Ben hid the hammer. The trick worked and Geo had a happy bath. It was quite an accomplishment and feat of ingenuity by Ben and Vanessa!
